Gill is a highly experienced and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) with over 30 years of practice in both the UK and Western Australia. Qualified in the UK in 1991, Gill has cultivated a deep-seated interest in working with individuals facing cognitive difficulties and/or neurological conditions across hospital and community settings.
Driving Assessment & Rehabilitation Expertise
Since moving to Perth in 2005, Gill has become a leading specialist in the field of driving rehabilitation. She completed post-graduate training at the University of Sydney in 2012 to become fully qualified to undertake Occupational Therapy Driving Assessments (OTDA).
Her extensive experience includes:

Six years working in private practice providing OTDAs.

Six years establishing and running the dedicated OTDA service within a not-for-profit organisation.

Currently operating as a sole practitioner, providing focused and personalised service.
Gill also holds a Driving Instructor (DI) license and has provided specialist driver training to people with disabilities who are learning to drive or returning to driving after a change in their medical condition.
Approach and Collaboration
Gill is committed to working with a variety of people, maintaining an approach that is always respectful and inclusive. She highly values collaboration and chooses to work closely with the professional Driving Instructors from Drive Perth, appreciating the additional skills and knowledge they bring to the OTDA process.
She is proficient in navigating various funding streams, including NDIS, ICWA, Home Care Packages (HCP), and Workers’ Compensation (WC). Gill maintains her high standard of practice through ongoing professional development, networking events, and regular meetings with Department of Transport representatives.
